### THE CHALLENGE

Most organisations want to understand what people really think — but traditional surveys, workshops, and interviews don’t scale.

They’re slow to run, expensive to analyse, and they often reduce nuanced views into shallow multiple-choice answers.

Waterfield came to us with a different challenge: capture thousands of authentic conversations — and turn them into meaningful, analysable insight.

### Capturing large-scale qualitative insight

Capture open-ended input from large groups via guided conversation, not forms.

Keep verbatim answers and semantic similarity so minority viewpoints and edge cases stay visible.

Use clustering and density to see where responses align, where they diverge, and what themes dominate.

Move from high-level patterns to individual answers, with insight that stays traceable to real responses.

### THE SOLUTION

Organisations create a Consensus (a set of questions) and share a single link. Participants respond through an AI-led chat that can ask follow-up questions to capture more complete answers. We also integrated real-time voice (OpenAI Realtime) so responses can be spoken instead of typed.

### Vectorisation at scale

Every response is embedded, vectorised, and stored for semantic analysis — working with meaning, not keywords.

### Data science, not guesswork

We apply proven techniques (including k-means clustering) to identify dominant themes, outliers, and areas of consensus vs divergence.

### Explore the consensus

Users explore responses by semantic density and inspect raw answers inside each cluster — moving from patterns to individual voices.

### Traceable insight

Nothing is hidden behind abstract summaries. Insights remain traceable back to real human input.
